High level application architecture consists of the following solutions:
I will focus now standard functionalities used in our IFS 9 solution.
Customer orders are always created to Sales site. There is one sales site configured for every country (company) where we have sales offices.
Whole delivery to customers consists of traded products, manufactured products, subcontracted products, package parts and service parts. Traded products can be delivered from internal supplier (production site) or from external suppliers. Delivery to end customer can be direct delivery from supplier or transit delivery via our sites. Currently there is only one production site for manufactured products, thus sourcing has been very simple. Manufactured products are configurable products. Purchase parts can be standard products or configurable products. Service parts are non-inventory sales parts. Then some parts are lot/batch trackable, W/D/R is in use and some parts are also serial tracking enabled.
All transit deliveries are planned with shipment functionality. Customer order lines are connected to handling units.
Simple picture of this concept is below.
Quality management solution is based on control plans and analysis results. Our quality standards requires that quality must be measured every hour,
List of functionalities used:

Other functionalities reviewed, but were not implemented
- Wadaco was analyzed, but most of our transactions were much more complex than WaDaCo was meant.
